Butt Crack
Sunday, December 16, 2007

No. Not the flesh kind :P

Barely a year and our car got hit at the back yesterday morning :(

Luckily, the gentleman was kind enough to apologise and offered to pay for repair.

But still, the damage has been done. Nothing really beats original :(

But then again, thank God it was just a minor one, the scene didn't turn ugly, and the hubby was all safe and sound.

On another note, it's going to be a new beginning for me tomorrow. A new start. A new path. Let's hope everything will turn out good and sweet.

Welcome home
Tuesday, August 28, 2007
It's just so good to be cuddling in his arms again :)

Played masak-masak again (as how mr-penman puts it!) on Sunday night. Made dinner for the hubby. I'm sure he missed home-cook meals :)

Celery with lotus root

Ginger and serai chicken

Chinese herbal soup

Well *ahem* ok, the other reason for cooking was because Sunday night was the height of the Hungry Ghost Festival (14th day of the Chinese Lunar 7th month). Mama advised not to go out at night >_<

*makes mental note to cook the chicken longer next time* LOL

Hubby got some gifts from China. For us and our families >_< He went to the part very close to the Russian border, and therefore he got some Russian gifts as well.

Matryoshka. Russian nesting dolls. These are painted wooden figurines ...

... that open in the middle. To reveal another smaller doll, within which there's another one, and another one, and another one, and so on >_<

Then there's this red little gooey piggy that he got for my nephew. Which you splat it on the floor and see it form back into the piggy it is.

A Chinese wooden scroll. With some wordings that look resemble carvings. Though I doubt they're real carvings :P I think it's about the "36 Strategies" of Ancient China. Anybody reads Chinese?

The hubby wants to frame it up and hang it on the wall >_<

Wild ginseng. Nice box. Even comes with a certificate -_-" Which I doubt means anything to me *LOL*

I was taking pics of this, when I noticed something. So I teased him, "Did you notice? That the ginseng is broken??!!!" :P

>_<

There're also some sweets, more Chinese medicine/herb stuffs, caviar for ourselves, etc etc.

But I think these are the best of the lot ...

Mmm-mmmmmm. Chocolates!!!

And of course, nothing beats the hubby returning home safely >_<

Weekend Shopping
Monday, August 27, 2007
Had a great long weekend. Was on leave on Friday.

Took my mum and nephew shopping on Friday. Dad didn't wanna join us. MuffySis couldn't join due to classes. I had never driven so much before in all my years of driving. Today was the record-breaker.

More than 80km. From 11am right up to 6.30pm. It may not be much compared to others, but for me ... it was!

First stop was to Mac-Pa-Pa-Pa >_< in BU Centerpoint for an early lunch. Then off to Subang to drop the sis at Metro college. She brought me the wrong way! But coincidentally, was the way to the yummy-licious Pan Mee she's been telling me about >_< Too bad we already had lunch, and she was already running late for classes! Otherwise, I could have tried how good it is :P

Playing peek-a-boo! He thinks you won't see him if he can't see you >_<

Then it was off to Midvalley Megamall. This was a waste of time. We only managed to get into the carpark, and that's it! I round-and-round for about half hour, and still didn't get a parking space. Complete failure! Complete waste-of-time. And I still had to pay for the parking -_-" Luckily the small one was sleeping soundly throughout.

We decided to change spot. So off to 1-Utama we went! And in contrast to Midvalley, we found a parking spot on the rooftop. Under the shades! Not bad. Had late lunch at the Colors nyonya outlet. Didn't do much shopping, had to pick up SlowSis from the LRT station at 4pm.

Dropped mum back home. Picked up Dad and MuffySis. To collect the new car.

Atos Prima. I kinda like the colour :) Hung around at the showroom while waiting for them to sign the papers and all. Having all those done, dad drove the new car back with elder sis. While MuffySis and I went to Cats Whiskers at DU Uptown. Hoping I'd get the 2 tops I've been wanting. But lady luck wasn't on my side. Again :(

Finally decided to call it a day. And headed back home. Just about time for dinner :)

Saturday. Went shopping again with mum and MuffySis. At Bangsar. Lotsa boutique stores. Selling chic and affordable clothes :)

Gallo, Baci, Musse, Cats Whiskers, Amos, etc etc. Musse was just not within our range of affordability >_< They sell designer pieces from a range of brands such as BGBG, Miss Sixty, etc. *gulp* Poor, cheapo people like me cannot afford those :P

It has been a long time since I last came to this area. And my first since they had this many clothes boutiques. So yeah, I was like a jakun :P

See, they even have such pretty hooks!!!

Had lunch at ChatterBox in Bangsar Village. Ok. Not bad. The fried beef kuey-teow (or was it venison?!!!) ngau-yuk-hor was not bad, just needed a little more soya-sauce. And as usual I ordered the wrong stuff. Fried tong-fun. It was not bad really, just that they had lotsa crappy stuffs inside which I don't fancy such as the dried small shrimps :P Sis and I ordered the honey lemon, which I thought would be good but turned out ok only. When it arrived, we were like "Wow, that's really yellow for honey lemon!! Looks more like Chrysanthemum tea!". Only to realise that it was the glass that was yellow when we almost finished the drink >_< Pai-seh!

We had a good time shopping. Bought most of our stuffs from this Amos store. Pretty cheap. And most importantly, the clothes fit me ;)

Shopped till our legs almost went sore! And until it started to rain!

Hopped back in the car just in time!

It was really a fun weekend I had with my family since I moved out. Had *someone* brought me to watch the fireworks, it would have been a really pleasant closing to a fantabulous weekend :P
