A child's prayer
Saturday, June 20, 2009

Was surfing around reading some inspirational stories, and found one which I find it to be somewhat enlightening.

We Catholics have the Our Father prayer, which has this particular line "Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us". The older version reads "Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass us".

And this story I was reading, a particular four-year old prayed "Forgive us our trash baskets as we forgive those who put trash in our baskets"

Not only it almost rhymed, I was particularly drawn to the words "trash baskets" because sometimes, some people's acts are like trash while some are like baskets.

Children. The innocent young minds. So innocently naive, yet so true at times.

Forgive me, Lord, for I have sinned -_-"
