Up Close & Personal

well, not *that* personal ~la >_<

It's been quite a while since I've done some macro shots. I don't have a macro lens. I shot these using the el cheapo 90-300mm with the Raynox DCR-250 attached. And I don't have an external flash either. I use just the built-in flash, and rely on the wonders of a styrofoam plate.

Yes, I'm a cheapo photographer. LOL~

Mealybugs on my pegaga plant.

When you spot mealybugs, most likely you'll spot ants as well. They share a symbiotic relationship, very much like ants with aphids. The ants provide protection for the mealybugs, while the mealybugs secrete sugary dew which the ants feed on. But honestly, I hate mealybugs. ~geli .. and they infest your plants rather fast!

A fly resting on a leaf. Yeah, I hate flies too :P

And this little bugger ... I have no idea what it is. But it was like finding a needle in the hay. He was hiding under a dark leaf, and this little bugger measured about only a mere 2-3mm. Check out those hair. Hairy little bugger needs some trimmings ~LOL

A few more to come later ...

:)
