Yummy-licious Week

The past few days seemed like Food Week to me. Been having some really good food of late.

One of it being the Iketeru at KL Hilton. It was for dinner with colleagues from our project team. Nothing really much to shout about, I still personally find Kampachi better. But since no need to burn our own pockets, it's still good food nonetheless :P But one thing for sure, the interior decor was really beautiful. I wish I had brought a camera. The "cracked" glass they used as dividers was really artistic coupled with the warm lighting. I think it's a perfect location for a glamour fashion shoot :) Darn it, should have brought a camera. So yeah, you guessed it ... no food pics for this.

The other was at The Banquet in Bangsar Shopping Village II. This .. was urm, a lunch together with one of our big bosses' wife. A few of my colleagues and I was given this task of bringing her out for lunch. She was a very lovely and warm lady, thank goodness! (No, I'm not apple polishing!)

The decor at BSV II. I love butterflies!

Banquet serves a mixture of local and western cuisine. She had our local Nasi Lemak, while the rest of us ... ordered everything but local entrees *LOL* I had the Penne Pollo Fungi which was pretty good. Colleagues had the Oven Baked Butter Fish and Risotto Porcini. Overall, comments from everyone on the table was superbly good! We also ordered some side dishes - Rojak and Clear Tom Yam.

Hey, my memory seems to be working pretty well today!!! Must be from all the good food! Hehe.

But I think the bomb of the lunch was the dessert we had. Hot Chocolate Cake. Filled with warm flowing chocolate, and served with cold vanilla ice-cream. Garnished with some grapes, strawberries and a gooseberry (physalis). The warm cake and flowing chocolate coupled with the cold ice-cream was a combination made in heaven! Heavenly, heavenly, heavenly! You have to wait 15 minutes for this, but I tell you ... it is very well worth the wait! *bliss*

In case you're wonder how heavenly, here are the shots I took with my colleague's Canon 400D and 100mm macro lens. But too bad, I missed a shot of the flowing chocolate! (Thank goodness my boss' wife is also into photography, so at least we didn't look like freaks documenting food shots!)

Hot Chocolate Cake

Gooseberry aka Physalis. Pretty, ain't it?!

I wish I could have brought that physalis home. Could have done some nice shoots with it :)

Hot Chocolate Cake. What a nice close to a week of work :)
