Sorry, peeps ... didn't come back for a proper post yesterday after watching
Jewel of the Palace on tv. I fell asleep halfway through the show >_<
So I'll make a quick update before the effects of the cough syrup kicks in.
How was your New Year and eve celebration? Mine was nothing to hooha about :P Coz I stayed home during the new year's eve. Didn't go for any fireworks because I was still on medication. I'd be drowsy and blur, so yeah ... I
counted sheeps at home. But the hubby woke me up at the stroke of midnight so I could at least catch a little fireworks display from the balcony of our home. Managed to catch the fireworks from KLCC, 1-Utama, Curve and one more which I couldn't make out from where. Small view but better than nothing. Didn't watch for long, I went back to dreamland >_<
Been sick since before Christmas. Am still coughing. I actually finished the cough syrup (Sedilix-DM Linctus) that the doctor prescribed. As far as I could remember, I had never finished a bottle of cough syrup given by any doctors before. So yeah, the cough this time was pretty stubborn :P
Finished!

Cough's really bad in the morning and night. Afternoon, I'm given the peace. Dry cough, no phlegm. But that cough has prolonged for too long, and I'm starting to have chest pain from too much coughing. Or maybe coughing too hard. So, stubborn me who only goes to the doctor at the last minute, decided it was time for a 2nd visit. *LOL* Well, I actually left it to fate to decide on the 2nd visit.
Hubby: Please go and see a doctor again. There's this doctor in DJ ... bla bla bla. *persuades stubborn me*
Me: Ok, ok ... if the doctor is still open when we get there, I'll see :P
The last time we tried to visit this doctor, the clinic was already closed by lunch time. So, I confidently told him that because I thought the clinic would have been closed by the time we got there yesterday afternoon. But then fate had it that I was destined to go this time. Surprised us (and an even more surprised me!) found that the clinic was still open when we got there >_<
Was given a different type of cough syrup. Bena Expectorant. Specially for chesty cough. And this small little pill called Atarax. All puts me to sleep like a baby! :D

With the new medication, it's been getting better. At least for last night. Had some peaceful sleep without any coughing in the middle of the night. I slept through >_<
But the chest still hurts :(
Despite it all, I went shopping at Ikano and The Curve today. Don't know what struck me, but apparently it turned out to be a shoe-shopping spree. I got myself 3 pairs of shoes in one afternoon >_<
And a handbag too :)

I've always been looking for a pair of shoes with denim material. And there was this particular pair in Vincci that I've so far never been able to get because the stores didn't have my size anymore. But like fate had it again, I found it at the Padini Concept Store in Ikano. And they had them in my size *eyes twinkling with glitter*

And I was looking for a new pair of black heels. So I spotted this pair, but too bad they didn't have them in black for my size. But I liked the simple design, and so decided to just settle for the white (ivory) ones :P

I've also been on the lookout for some flats. And today I found a pair that I like and fits me nicely >_<

And lastly but not least, the handbag. Yep, I've been looking for a nice and not-too-big handbag that I could take to work. Nowadays the bags are all so big. It was nothing easy finding one which isn't too big and isn't too small that I could bring to work.

Actually I've seen this bag a few weeks back before. But then I was 15-16 (half-hearted) about it because of the price. Cheapo me feels RM199 for a handbag that isn't genuine leather (well, at least that's what I think!) is a little too pricey. But like fate had it, (yeah. yeah.) ... I spotted another price tag in this bag. RM139. Look again. Ask the promoter. Confirmed. RM139. Without much thoughts anymore, I asked for a new one :) Then another surprise was in store. There was a 10% discount for it as well. Oh. my. goodness. Who could resist that?
Fate. Fate had it that these were mine to be bought today. *LOL*
Don't you think so?!!!
And oh. Speaking of fate, I finally found the instant udon that I've been looking for. Was looking around at the Jusco supermarket in Midvalley few weeks back. I walked down and up the aisle twice, hoping to find these instant udon. Looking into the freezers along the aisle and not being able to find what I was looking for, I was about to give up. Then I spotted this particular door of the freezer which was all fogged up. So I decided to open it and see what behind it. Who knows, it could be the thing I was looking for. And lo-and-behold, as fate had it, there were indeed those instant udon sitting on the rack behind that fogged-up door!!! Only 3 packets left, and I grabbed them all >_<

No, you don't get all those fried crispy stuffs you see on the packaging :P

See ... it's all fate. Fate.
Don't you think so?!!!
:D
