Our first day in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah was spent entirely within the confines of the Nexus Karambunai resort. Rest and relax. But as anyone would have known me, photography opportunities!!!
Thanks to Tiff, we got a special rate for the room in Nexus. Surrounded by lush greeneries and rainforest, and just a few steps away from the beach. The room was spacious, and most importantly - clean! Yeah, clean and fresh. Even the bathroom was very satisfactory :)
I'm pretty fussy when it comes to accommodation. So, when I say it's good or satisfactory, it's really good and satisfactory! :P

Looking out from the balcony!

The bathroom. From where I was standing, the bathtub is on left, the shower behind right, and the toilet bowl behind left.

A walk around the resort is very relaxing and refreshing.
The swimming pool.

They even have massage huts right beside the beach. Pamper yourself with a soothing massage, relax and unwind your body, as sounds of the waves rushing towards the shore calm your mind. Nah, I didn't get one ... :(

But we did have a nice lunch with a view looking out to the beach. Sipping a cold drink, and chomping down my Sunset Burger :) While my hubby had his
Malaysian pizza (with toppings like brinjal and sambal chilli), which he said wasn't very good. The burger I had was good, although I didn't particularly like the patty (yeah, I'm weird!). The top bun was crispy, the egg was fantastic as the yolk bursts when you sink your teeth into it. Almost reminded me of a very good Ramli burger! >_<

The day went by pretty quickly. Soon it was night. We had room service for dinner. Nothing to hooha over, but there is something worth noting down. I ordered the Hainanese Chicken Rice, to which I finished the rice but couldn't finish the generous amount of chicken they served. So, we left the tray outside the room for collection, and went out for another round of walk. When we got back, the tray was still outside ... but the chicken meat were all gone, with some trails of the oil and gravy on the tray and floor!!! >_< *LOL*
This reminded me of Halloween!!!!!!

Early next morning, we went for a buffet breakfast at the coffeehouse before checking-out and leaving for Kudat.
It's not even 6.30am and the skies were already all bright and sunny!!!
