Friday night was a blast! A night filled with great songs.

Went for the Jacky Cheung World Tour 07 concert here in Bukit Jalil. It was one heck of a splendid concert which lasted about 3.5 hours (approx. 8.30pm - 12am). Hubby and I actually made it just in time for the concert. Didn't even have to wait or hang around long before JC appeared on stage. Much thanks to a friend who shared an alternative route into the venue. Otherwise we'd probably be late due to the jam and queue we saw at the "common" route.

Before the start of the concert.

From recent latest hits right back to his classics, JC crooned and danced like the Heavenly King he is. I had a really wonderful time. Was practically swaying along to the music the entire night. Shouting and hooting. Clapping almost at the end of every song >_<

First song of the night.

The stage setup was really nice, IMO. A giant display screen at the center of the stage, projecting animations and visuals for some of the songs and at other times, a closer view of him. Coupled with 4 projector screens, 2 at each side of the stage, for closer view of the performance. Colourful lightings, and beautifully lighted background setup. Pity all these only were to last one night!

Blue lights lighted up the stage.

'Tho the sound system wasn't great, I wouldn't complain much. Afterall, I think the stadium isn't equipped or planned for these kind of performances.

Projected lyrics as JC belts out Kong-Lei-Ji (Let You Know), a song he wrote and composed for his wife.

Honestly, I had been thoroughly enjoying his concerts all these years. (Oh, I'm so gonna hate myself for saying this!) But this time, I had to say that it wasn't as great as the previous Music Odyssey. I felt he wasn't really up to par that night. Kinda like the stamina is not really so much there. Maybe he has not fully recovered from the recent sickness. Maybe it's just me. I had a much greater time during his fast songs where I'd rock along >_< Into the 3rd hour, I was kinda "settled" and calm, well maybe it's the slow songs :P But, I am NOT complaining. I still believe his concert was very well worth the moolah. Yes ;)

At some points of the concert, fireworks went off. Awesome! There was this time where 2 fireballs shot down from the top corners of the stage (1 from each side), diagonally into the center below where then another set of fireworks shot off from the center there. Magnificient! And for this concert too, there was a 30-minute play of his Snow Wolf Lake musical show. Brilliant! >_<

The Encore

As with his past concerts, there was of course the Encore part. And for this, he crooned a few more songs from his classic hits, one being my favourite was Yuet Boon Wan (Half Moon). This song brings back memories of his very first concert I attended back in 1993. It was this song which JC taught us to sing along to at one part of the concert (na-na-na-na-na-na-na...). And Friday night, we sang along with him again. And sure "Na" I did >_<

Can't remember was song was this >_<

JC wrapped up the night with Juk Fuk (Blessings), waving to audiences before disappearing into the backstage.

Juk-Fuk (Blessings) that marks the end of the night.

My P&S didn't get me any nice close-up pics. All these pics I took, I couldn't even make out the eyes, nose nor mouth on his face at full view >_< But I really wasn't there for pics. Well, maybe just these few for memory sake. I was there to enjoy the concert. And indeed I did :)

People jam! After the concert.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention. It rained lightly for a short duration of time during the concert. Luckily I got the shaded seatings >_< Covered from the rain :)

Am now waiting for this concert's DVD to hit the market. Anyone going to Hong Kong??!!! :D
