Fried and Burnt
Monday, June 11, 2007
Yep. I fried rice for lunch yesterday >_< First time.

And boiled ABC soup as well (carrot+tomato+potato soup) *drools*

Oh, and fried calamari too :D First time. I think I didn't put enough salt into the flour, so it wasn't really tasty. And I should have used more oil to fry, it wasn't that crispy! Failed -_-"

As usual, the hubby had lotsa comments and suggestion :P Calamari not salty enough. Calamari not crispy enough. Soup not very much oomph. Egg in fried rice not cooked to perfection.

But being the nice hubby, he said it was still good afterall. Coz his wifey cooked mar!!! >_<

But after yesterday's ordeal of frying the rice, I came to a conclusion. That either I'm a really lousy cook. Or the wok hates me! Why? Coz the wok ends up like this whenever I fry something like rice and bee-hoon -_-

And poor him had to go scrub-scrub clean!

*giggles*

Oh, and I got myself 2 pairs of pants and a top. From the Elements boutique in Curve. All under less than half hour >_<

Try using more oil in the wok. Then the rice won't stick too much. ;)

It's the egg that cause it to be like so.. either use more oil and make sure egg coats rice instead of sinking to the bottom, or soak the pan in water for about an hour before scrubbing...

...oh ya, I linked cha up on my bloggie too. =p
