Double Vision is Cool

... but could get giddy >_<

I had been off work on MC for four days this week, and only started work yesterday! You know, it's hard to boot up when you've been shutdown for days *LOL*

Recap.

Sunday night. I got poked. In the left eye. With a straw! Accidentally, of course. It was awfully painful, and it was tearing as though like I was bawling! Really painful. Later in the night, I couldn't keep the eye open, and it felt like there were a hundreds of needles pricking in my eye! It was tearing even when it's closed. Tears trickled down my cheek one drop after another even when I was dozing off! The worst part, is when the tears well up inside my eye as I try to sleep - it was like soaking a sore wound in salt water. Oh yeah, I wanted to cry but can't because it would add to the pain. And I had to keep the lights off as it was hurting my eye. Awful. Scary.

Monday morning. Thank goodness, my eye could open. Though I couldn't keep it open for long. And I couldn't look up straight with it opened. It would get watery. It was like when you look at something really bright that your eyes would start to water and you'll automatically want to shut them! I realised I was having blurry vision and seeing double images.

I was actually seeing the pattern on my bedsheet like this!

And yet I was still hesitating to go see a doctor. But finally gave in and made an appointment with an eye specialist at Sunway Medical Center. Afternoon. My appointment was supposedly 3.30pm, but I think due to some misunderstandings and confusions, I only got to see the doctor after waiting for more than an hour plus. Well, at least the check-up wasn't as scary as I'd imagined where they force open your eye with some apparatus and stuffs! I think I watch too much tv and documentaries!

This was how my left eye sees the chart in the doctor's room!

Doc said I had an abrasion (somewhere, I forgot! The cornea I think!) and something about alignment that was causing the blurry and double visions. Said it should be okay in a few days. Gave me MC for four days (four days!!!), and to be back for another follow-up on Thursday. No reading, no computers! Urggghhh... And ... I hate the ointment prescribed - it leaves a really bitter aftertaste on the upper throat. Really bitter! Double urggghhh!

Tuesday. Getting better! I could keep my eye open now, and I could look up straight. But the vision's still blurry and doubly, albeit better than yesterday. But my hubby's still restricting me from using the PC. So I decided to jot this down on paper first. Yeah, I'm bored ... and thinking about my blog!

Days went by, and my vision got better by the days! Application of the yucky ointment has also been cut down to nightly ever since the follow-up appointment! And for two more nights only, tonight's the last *woo-hooo* Finally went back to work yesterday.

Oh, how I missed the blogs and photography forums and my emails and MSN and this and that ...
