I used to burn all my photos and backup files into CDs, and very occasionally into DVDs. But ever since getting myself a 7MP and an 8MP camera, more CDs are stacking up. So, I thought it was time to invest in an external HDD (hard disk drive).
Last weekend, I bought myself a 2.5" 60GB hard disk and an external casing to go with it. Cutie DX by Sarotech. The casing, that is! Got it from
Computer War for RM158 (HDD) and RM110 (casing). I wanted a small and portable one which I can conveniently bring about, especially to work.

Aluminium casing. Connection and power via USB. It's small and light. I like that :)

See how nicely it fits in my hand :)

It comes with a black pouch that looks like an organiser from the outside -_-"

It comes with 2 USB cables - one short and one long. And a mini screwdriver for opening/closing the casing. How thoughtful!
Initially the boss (I think so!) recommended me to take another casing which was only half the price of this Cutie. I forgot the brand, but it was black in colour with a glossy and mirror finishing. According to the boss, it is as equally good as Cutie but it's way much cheaper. And he said Cutie is for the
rich people -_-" So I was like
"So, I look like a cheapo eh?" LOL
Anyway, I went ahead with the Cutie
(no, not because I am trying to prove that I'm rich or anything like that wokay!) because I was recommended by my colleagues who are using it. Plus (I admit!) another wanky reason being I didn't like the mirror finishing of the other brand which easily leaves fingerprints all over. And I like Cutie for it's matte aluminium finishing. Looks more canggih lah, I dunno why -_-"
So there I have it. A portable external HDD. My plan is to now burn the downloaded photos only when I have accumulated enough to fit into one DVD!
