Yup, that’s right! The Japanese restaurant named Kuriya @ Bangsar Shopping Complex. We went there for dinner to celebrate father’s day with the hubby and my family. It’s been quite a while since I took foodie shots with my 350D. Outside foodie.
This is the appetizer they served. Didn’t have it, so I don’t know the taste of it. But I presume it’s good because MuffySis walloped it after her own’s >_< But then again …… she loves food, and probably would wallop anything on the table when she’s hungry. And I do think she *was* hungry that night. Not sure what it was, but I remember her saying was cuttlefish or some sort.

MadSis ordered the california roll (maki), which was not bad ~lah. Somehow california maki tastes almost the same wherever I tried them before – Sakae Sushi, Sushi Zanmai, Carrefour, Jusco, etc etc >_<

Being the ebi tempura lover, I gotta try that dish from every Japanese restaurant I go to. As for this, the prawn and batter itself was nice. But the tentsuyu sauce they served together with this for dipping, was a bit too much on the salty side for my liking. So far, I find that Kampachi @ Equatorial KL serves the best ebi tempura.

Next up was Enoki Hoiru Yaki. A variety of mushrooms in some shoyu sauce/soup. Wrapped in aluminium foil. Tasty!!

And then came MuffySis’s main meal. Finally (for her) LOL~ It was Saba Shioyaki, grilled saba fish. Took a few bites, it was nice. The thing about saba and sama fish, is that their meat is very sweet.

This is her with her food. MuffySis loves having her pixie taken with her food -_-”

And lastly but not least, Chicken Teppanyaki. The hubby had it. Didn’t try it as I didn’t find it very yummy-licious enough for me to try :P Actually it looked quite chinese-style to me :P How was it? They hubby said so-so ~lah. Haha.

There were other dishes ordered as well, but I didn’t manage to get any pixies. Not easy nowadays when there’s a little one in tow >_<
By the way, the beef teppanyaki they have in the menu … are served using wagyu beef only >_< No “normal” beef :P
All-in-all for 7 adults and one kid, the bill came to about 300 bucks.
