The thing that initially sparked my interested in photography
was the ability of capturing and freezing the moment, and being able to look back at it years on.
There was simply a contentment seeing the frozen moments when they came back in prints - nowadays, on the camera's LCD and the computer's monitor.
Shortly put, photography to me is a means of holding on to memories.
I started out with a little P&S - the Nikon Coolpix 775. I slowly progressed from being a hit-and-run snapshooter to one who learned how to compose and play with lighting. Being a newbie - well, I still do consider myself as one - I photograph almost everything that can be photographed! Down the road,
I moved on with the Canon Powershot A-series and of late, the EOS 350D. In the midst of all the composition,
lighting, creativity and all, I always remind myself to have FUN! Afterall, that was also one of the main thing that got me started in this.
I had fun capturing and freezing the moments, I will want to always continue to have fun with photography.
There was a time when I was so avid in being better, I almost stopped and gave up photography seeing that I was going nowhere good. I had forgotten the fun and simple joy I used to have in pressing that little button. Thank goodness, I came back to my senses - or rather my heart - in time. Now, I'm back to fun shooting again. And till today, I still photograph anything and everything I could land the focus on. There is just so much to learn, and so much to photograph. I finally whipped out this website (after years of hesitation!) to share some of the crappy snapshots that I take. And occasionally, some of the nice ones as well. Well, most of the time they're 10% good takes and 90% crappy *LOL* I hope your visit and stay here would be a memorable one. So come along, and journey with me as I continue on my quest of photographing everything and anything. And don't forget to have fun! If you intend to use any of my images, kindly please contact me. I'm cool with all inquiries, and I very much would like to know how or where my images are used. |
